The mechanical marvel of its day, this industrious wooden kit creates a model of the famous 1829 locomotive for the Liverpool & Manchester Railway. Rocket was designed by Robert Stephenson (180359) and built in Newcastle upon Tyne. Turn the handle and watch the pistons drive the 4 turning wheels. Contains over 170 prepared components to peg and glue in position.
