The Specialized Tactic III MIPS Mountain Bike Helmet is designed for aggressive trail riding. It’s light and well ventilated enough to comfortably get you to the top of climbs and has extended rear protection to give you the confidence you need on downhills. The Tactic III MIPS is the latest version of the long running Specialized Tactic helmet. It now comes with the added protection of MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System). MIPS is designed to protect your head from glancing blows by allowing your helmet to move in a controlled way on impact. This controlled movement will absorb some of the force of a crash, reducing the shock to your brain. Once MIPS has absorbed the initial shock the in-moulded helmet shell will then absorb the bulk of the force. Overall this dual system gives you a safer helmet. The Specialized Tactic III is a unisex helmet and comes with versatile HairPort SL II fit system which lets you adjust the helmet to fit your head, and hairstyle, exactly. The Tactic III is also compatible with the Specialized ANGi crash detection system (sensor sold separately) so you can have all the latest tech.
