Description
Treat yourself and a loved one to this interactive animal experience which allows you to get up close and personal to two fabulous and exotic creatures at Lakeland Wildlife Oasis Park. The graceful snow leopard is one of the world’s most elusive cats, usually found in high, rugged mountain landscapes at elevations of 3,000-4,500m. Solitary creatures, they usually hunt at dawn and dusk. They’re successful predators, able to kill prey up to three times their own weight.A relative of the mongoose, the fossa is unique to the forests of Madagascar. The fossa is a slender-bodied cat-like creature with little resemblance to its mongoose cousins. The fossa is the largest carnivore and top predator native to Madagascar and is known to feed on lemurs and most other creatures it can get its claws on. Upon arrival you will be given a health and safety briefing before you are introduced to the resident fossa. You will get to partake in the clicker training through a mesh barrier. Next you will meet the snow leopards, where you will have the chance to get up really close to these beautiful animals by stick feeding them through a mesh barrier. After your experience you will both be free to explore Lakeland Wildlife Oasis Park, which is home to meerkats, lemurs and monkeys amongst many others.
