The mattress features a traditional hand tufted finish and is upholstered in a Belgian damask fabric. Hand tufted ensures its fillings are held securely in place. Sandwiched between its natural fillings is an interior made up of small diameter body-contouring pocket springs, with each one housed in its individual cloth sleeve. Each pocket spring is able to move freely so the load on one is not affected by any neighbouring springs, providing piston-like support to each part of the body. A flat rod-edge frame surrounds the perimeter of the spring system. This strengthens the border and provides edge to edge support across the mattress width.
