Description
Imposing designer wall light Aria for unexpected plays of light on the wall The wall light Aria impresses with its imposing size and its dynamic as well as flowing lighting architecture. A radial structure of 50 different "arms" protects the light sources inside the basket and at the same time creates a three-dimensional volume. For the production of the designer light, only high-quality technopolymers such as Lentiflex® and Cristalflex® were used, which are produced by the Slamp company itself. Lentiflex® enables a warm and even illumination, while Cristalflex® gives the lights by Slamp the grace and preciousness of glass. Technopolymers are plastics that are characterised by their lightness and at the same time by their resistance to breakage. With bulbs that spread pleasant and warm white light, the wall light creates a cosy and harmonious atmosphere and projects unexpected plays of light onto the walls. Aria is not only a light source, but also a decorative element with luxurious flair. It can be used in private living spaces as well as in public environments. The design comes from the pen of the internationally renowned architect Zaha Hadid. The winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize is known for her architectural works, which are expressed in the realisation of extraordinary and dynamic forms. Zaha Hadid was named "Artist for Peace" by UNESCO and included in the list of the "100 most influential people in the world" by TIMES magazine. All her dynamic and innovative projects are based on over thirty years of research into a wide range of sectors related to urban planning, architecture and design. The Italian company Slamp was founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani and is characterised by the use of materials developed and manufactured in-house. These technopolymers allow designers to create shapes that would be impossible with other materials. In addition, the technopolymers help to reduce environmental costs by a factor of four compared to the alternatives. The Italian lighting manufacturer has always paid special attention to sustainability. Accordingly, behind every light produced are work steps that are environmentally friendly and well thought out. Since 2020, Slamp has been donating the residues of lights to companies that use them to make nesting boxes for bumblebees.
