Description
The sumak rugs are woven artifacts. Due to their particular execution technique, the rug cannot be reversible. In fact, unlike kilim rugs, they have a right and a reverse, on which numerous threads appear left free in correspondence with each change of colour. Precisely because the wefts are twisted into the warp and at each change of colour they are left free on the back of the product, the sumak rugs have a rather significant consistency, which also makes them resistant to wear.
