This Sirius Carpenters tool kit contains five traditional woodworking tools in a wooden tool box for transport and storage. A marking gauge is essential for laying out scribe lines during joinery applications, and the included tool is an especially versatile model which can be used as a mortice gauge for marking out mortice and tenon joints. The try square gives you a 90° reference point and straight edge for ensuring your cuts are as square and accurate as possible. The sliding bevel enables you to accurately transfer angles and is often used when cutting dovetail joints. The No.4 smoothing plane is a classic design which has been around for over 100 years, during which time it has become the most popular hand plane for finishing wood. The block plane is ideally suited for working on end grain and smaller surface areas. Lastly, the tool kit includes a wooden storage box to keep everything together in between uses.
