raawii Table lamp Yellow Ceramic. Dimensions: H 28.5 cm x 22.6 cm x Depth 8.5 cm. The work of Swiss designer duo Panter & Tourron, this monolithic lamp, mischievous and original, has an important power of evocation! The archetypal silhouette takes the familiar shape of old flashlights, but in a totally unexpected material. Hand-crafted in Portugal, Signal is entirely made of ceramic, a noble, tactile material. On one side of the lamp, a circular opening allows the interior of the structure to be seen and the light to escape. On the other side, arranged symmetrically, a concave dome sculpts the surface, visible through the opposite opening. As beautiful from the back as the front, the Signal lamp can be arranged in either direction, giving you two types of lighting - direct or indirect. This lamp with its unusual, enigmatic shape will capture your attention! Coming straight from a watercolour palette, these ceramic lamps sport a blend of joyous intensity, remarkable restraint, poetry and geometry. Swiss designers Panter & Tourron are constantly on the look-out for new formal codes and innovative visual experiences. Simplicity is for them the expression of luxury. “We always try to capture the essence of a form. When we look at an object, we’re always attracted by any little detail that could make its manufacture iconic or particular, focusing on specific finishes or unusual materials, for example. There are always good references for this: very pragmatic objects, such as technical equipment and clothing, in which function is so elevated that it becomes very visual and aesthetic.
