The upper benefits from being made from Sidi's TechPro Microfibre. This highly functional material is an eco-friendly leatherette offering a supple and comfortable fit while maintaining superb durability as well as offering water-resistance for damp days. Areas of nylon mesh provide a boost to breathability and airflow, ensuring your hot days on the bike don't leave your feet damp and uncomfortable. An anti-mould treatment also helps fight the build-up of bacteria, leaving your feet fresh, kilometre after kilometre. Tecno-4 closure system It was in 1988 that a rotor closure system first appeared on Sidi shoes and this style of closure has been a feature ever since. The very latest Tecno-4 closure system is, of course, leaps and bounds beyond that original system, offering a superbly precise adjustment of the fit. Smooth running wire laces pull evenly to apply just the right amount of pressure. The release of the tension has been improved for faster closure and release. Like all Sidi shoes, this new Tecno-4 is replaceable, allowing your shoes to last and last. As well as the Tecno-4 system, the Sixty makes use of high-security Velcro strap across the front of the shoe. With integrated teeth that lock together when the strap is closed, this system creates a secure fit while keeping weight low and ease of use high. Vent Carbon Sole The low weight and stiffness of the Vent Carbon Sole allow for high performing power transfers. Put the power down and revel in an instant reaction as you quickly get up to speed. The woven carbon fibre construction maximises the soles stiffness while allowing for a small degree of flex in the toes. This carefully honed flex biomechanically relieves stress on the plantar tendon and helps promote circulation. The sole is also designed with summer in mind, featuring an integrated vent and air channels to dissipate heat and improve airflow. A replaceable polyurethane heel pad and replaceable and adjustable front vent give your shoe excellent breathability and durability. Integrated Heel To the back of the shoe, the fully integrated heel system provides a secure fit and prevents deformation even during prolonged use. The anatomic shape hugs the heel area, preventing slippage when under load and stabilising the foot for a smooth pedal stroke. When making all-out efforts, sprints and hitting the climbs, this extra stability is essential. Lastly, a reflex insert provides greater safety by helping signal your presence to other road users in low light conditions.
