The Sidi Eagle 7 SR Shadow features subtle looks and a new sole for even more off-bike traction. Its the perfect all day trail shoe for Mountain Biking and Gravel Adventures and also makes a great Cross racing shoe thanks to toe stud compatibility and a grippier sole. UPPER Microfibre Microtech fabric upper incorporates features of resistance, stability, lightness, water-repellency and eco-friendliness. It is manufactured using the “Water-Tech” water treatment. Lower environmental impact, less noxious emissions into the air and into the work environment and the fact that no solvents, but water-based products were used, is beneficial to the environment as well as the final user. SOFT INSTEP CLOSURE SYSTEM The SOFT INSTEP CLOSURE SYSTEM is a wide, anatomically curved strap combined with a soft, thermo-formed EVA pad that distributes pressure evenly over the instep area. The SOFT INSTEP CLOSURE SYSTEM is adjustable from both sides, to perfectly centre the EVA pad over a high or low instep. The system eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender. The SOFT INSTEP CLOSURE SYSTEM is replaceable. CALIPER BUCKLE The micrometric closure called “CALIPER BUCKLE” is adjustable by lifting the central buckle. In order to completely open, lift together both side buckles, or push the centre button to slightly loosen one tooth at the time. The system is also adjustable during a race. HIGH-SECURITY VELCRO HIGH-SECURITY VELCRO straps with integrated locking polymer teeth, that engage onto each other when the strap is closed. This feature makes the closure more secure and the strap becomes unmoveable. The reinforced heel keeps the foot in an optimal position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure. SOLE SR17 sole unit Lighter and better performing the new Sidi MTB sole is made of nylon with PU (polyurethane) inserts. The shape of the sole tread has been specifically designed for mountain bike, it allows a good grip, facilitates mud dispersion and provides the right stability. The central insert with the Sidi logo works as non-slip and it is practical and useful especially to the less experienced users. The toe area that is more subject to wear, especially when walking, can be replaced by screws and still offers the possibility to mount crampons to improve traction on, particularly muddy grounds. SR17 represents the ultimate result in terms of stiffness for pedalling and flexion for walking.
