What is Tencel fabric?..........This season we have created a small range of tops and tunics that are made from 100% Tencel - one of the most environmentally friendly regenerated fabrics around. Similar to bamboo Tencel fibres are taken from eucalyptus trees that are grown on farms rather than harvested from natural forests with no need for irrigation or pesticides the environmental impacts usually associated with traditional fibre manufacturing processes are all but eliminated. Compared with traditional fibres the chemicals used in the processing of Tencel are non-toxic and as a result this method of manufacturing has been globally recognised as having a significantly reduced environmental impact.
