Gubi Pendant Orange Metal. Dimensions: Ø 47 cm x H 24 cm - Ceiling rose: Ø 11.6 cm x H 3.9 cm. A true icon of Scandinavian design, the Semi is the result of a collaboration between two famous Danish designers : Torsten Thorup and Claus Bonderup. This pendant light was created as part of a competition organised by the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 1968. The two designers, still students at the time, won first place with their pendant light, thus marking the beginning of a stunning international career. Semi became a bestseller in the Scandinavian market, reaching an iconic status. This glazed metal pendant light is crafted by hand. Precious and refined, the glazed finish creates an intense, high-shine colour. Semi catches us with its geometric, clean and extremely graphical form. The coloured exterior of the lampshade contrasts superbly with the white interior. The elegant cable is surrounded by fabric.
