Opinion Ciatti Wall mirror Gold Glass. Dimensions: L 90 x H 154 cm. The Stone Age ... Selce is a large mirror decorated with golden patterns that reproduces the shape of the first tool made by man: cut flint. It’s a tribute to human know-how: to man’s ability to learn, develop and pass on. At the same time, it’s a line of reflection, an invitation to remember our oldest identity and compare it to our current identity. Italian designer Marcantonio about his Selce mirror: I liked the idea of a mirror in which you could look at yourself and glimpse your origins. This creation is part of the Atavica capsule collection created by Italian designer Marcantonio. This symbolic collection brings together objects with a “primitive” morphology. Here, Marcantonio explores the relationship between Man and his environment, from prehistoric times to the present day. How has the relationship between man and his environment changed over the millennia? What distinguishes the interaction between today's man and the space in which he moves, from that which was created between the first inhabitants of the planet and the nature that surrounded them? The Atavicase collection includes the Cielo and Terra rugs, Primasedia chair, Selce mirror and Ramo coat stand. All these objects share a powerful objective: to be the 2.0 expression of ancient materials and symbols.
