Seiko Prospex 140th Anniversary Mens Watch SPB213J1The story of Seiko began in 1881, when a 21 year old entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling and repairing watches and clocks in central Tokyo. The Seiko 5 Sports range has been known for over fifty years for the reliability, durability, performance and value of each design. "5" representing the original five key features of every Seiko 5, that are still present today: automatic movement, a day-date display, water resistance, a recessed crown and a drable case and bracelet. This particular design, is one of the 140th-anniversary collection timepieces marking key periods in the brand’s history, and is a modern recreation of the very first Japanese diving watch which was made by Seiko in 1965.
