For a really powerful winter fragrance Sarcococca hookeriana digyna will not disappoint, as it fills your garden with a dramatic aroma right through the cold season from clusters of small, creamy-white flowers. Extremely tough and resilient, Sweet Box can be grown as a low hedge similar to other Box, but works just as well in borders and as ground cover too. Christmas Box has purple-tinged stems with beautiful deep green, leathery, weatherproof foliage, and after the blooms disappear, they are then replaced by black berries for continued interest in your garden.
