Solid Oak To make these solid oak dining tables we select the finest oak timbers. Each dining table is cut to size, hand-sanded to a smooth finish, hand-oiled and finished. Despite the process to make the timber smooth and flat, being a natural product solid wood can contain a variety of different features and characteristics. Due to the nature of solid oak every piece of our handmade oak furniture will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Clear Protective Oil All our solid oak furniture is finished with a clear protective oil that is hand applied as part of our our handcrafting process. As the oil soaks into the oak it leaves it with a matte finish and enhances the natural look of the grain and features, bringing it to life. It also provides a protective finish to the natural timber. As with all natural wood furniture we would strongly recommend that you protect our oak furniture from heat and moisture, with the use of coasters, heat protective mats and other precautionary measures. When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes.
