The S/PRO Alpha is Salomon s new 98mm last boot and this 120 flex model is aimed at advanced and expert skiers. It has all the heel hold you would expect from a lower volume boot but the fit on the instep and midfoot will pleasantly surprise thanks to a simple, yet clever, rethink of the buckle positioning. By moving the instep buckle backwards and adjusting the 1st clip, as well as thinning the plastic, Salomon have created a boot that has exceptional heel lock, less potential pressure points over the top of the foot and is much easier to get in and out of. Custom Shell HD is used on the shell so it can be moulded in store to match the skier s feet and the new liner is also heat fitted to further improve the match to foot shape and boot comfort. Performance comes courtesy of the firm flex, adjustable Power Spine and PU shell.
