In an endless quest for optimal quality and artisan expertise at its best, the Jeux de Salon collection is made in France, in the Vosges region, using sustainable materials. This expression of beauty and elegance clearly corresponds to the house of Lelièvre's values, whilst also showcasing our fabrics and reasserting our commitment to Made in France. To design this collection, the Lelièvre house called upon the talents of liberated, curious, and eclectic designer José Lévy. Simultaneously casual and elegant, the Jeux de Salon collection offers a mix & match myriad of materials and colours which revisit Lelièvre's iconic fabrics, such as velvet and bouclé, in strong and confident tones, combined with lacquered wooden finishes in red, black, and honey. Daring, playful, modern, and full of colour, the Jeux de Salon collection is animated by the strong concept of fun, with modular and multi-use furniture with architectural shapes. José Lévy: This series of pieces is a tribute to the fabrics and sublime colours of Lelièvre, which has been a French institution and a crown jewel of decorative arts for more than 100 years. Open interpretation is on the cards for Jeux de Salon, as it deconstructs uses and habits to offer a playful, graphical, and colourful collection. For distribution, Lelièvre Paris is doing an exclusive collaboration with Made In Design. This collaboration covers all of the various commitments and values held by Made In Design: supporting creation, French creators and expertise, a commitment to sustainable and eco-responsible design, curating, and a unique outlook to allow everyone to discover exceptional design. The cushion is a structural element in décor, and it's a starting point and common thread for the Jeux de Salon collection. The designer has come up with inspiring construction combinations for each piece, whether that means stacking them or unstacking them, it's always with a playful flare. Completely adjustable and designed to offer multiple options, the whole collection - which includes a daybed, an armchair, an ottoman, benches, footstools, rugs, and cushions - can be put together and taken apart to flow with the positions and rhythm of the day. It leaves everyone free to put together their own living room, and to tell their own story through the collection. Each furnishing element can also be used on its own. The Jeux de Salon collection has been designed close to the ground, in the style of Japanese tradition, which never ceases to inspire José Lévy. The oversized daybed, a supposed tribute to conversation-piece sofas, has been designed like a platform, a half-bed and half-table island where you can snuggle up, meditate, play, or simply chat… The ultra-vibrant colours of the velvet and the single-fabric cushions paired with colourblock tones structure and emphasise eminently graphical staging. A few strokes and designs amidst the large flat-tint colours on the rugs evoke geometry inspired by the world of games and sport. Made In Design: This narrative for play created by José Lévy charms us with its sensitive and liberal approach, bursting with uniqueness and creativity. Driven by José's personal history, the design is simply perfection, and allows for a subtle harmony to be conducted among the shapes, materials and colours which reveal the infinite and majestic playfulness.
