Inspired by sea creatures and made entirely from pewter, this Royal Selangor aerator is like no other and will certainly garner interest from guests around the dining table. Designed for wide-mouth decanters and in the shape of a pufferfish, when it's placed into the mouth of a decanter wine is diffused around it as it's poured, effectively aerating it and releasing the flavours. Pewter is almost maintenance-free as it does not react with the air to oxidise or tarnish. It can attract dust and dirt, but all that's required is an occasional wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Over time and with use, pewter develops a pleasing and subdued patina unique to the metal which is part of the beauty of investing in this material.
