Description
Rotary is supporting The Legion with this MK II commemorative watch. During WWI (1914 – 1918), men almost exclusively wore pocket watches as wrist watches were largely considered effeminate, however it became apparent that wrist watches were the most practical way for soldiers to keep time. This watch pays homage to this, and The Royal British Legion and Rotary have partnered to give thanks to all those who served and sacrificed. Featuring a 36 x 7mm gold plated case, clear white dial and gold toned hour bars, the number 11 is in red to signify the hour WWI ended within the scrolling date window. On the dial, there's a WWI red poppy detail, plus a red poppy on the watch button. A limited edition with just 1000 individually numbered pieces – a poppy design and the individual watch number are etched on the case back. F.Hinds and Rotary Watches have agreed to donate all profits to The Legion arising from the sale of these watches.
