Sabrina Roscino's stunning landscape 'Gilded Light' captures the wide-open fields in three distinct timeframes - each with its own story to tell. In springtime, at the bottom, the freshly ploughed and rocky furrows, above them the same ground - now covered by rows of ripened wheat as summer turns to autumn- and, at the top, straddling another horizon, are the distant hills, distant and impervious to the changing seasons. It's not just Sabrina's characteristically evocative way with digital painting that makes this picture so special - by printing onto gold foil she imbues the scene with a warm autumnal glow, while raised straight-edged Newell paper and torn and raised tranches add texture and depth.
