The Room 9 Ceramic Pendant lights were inspired by traditional spun steel shades; classic, elegant shapes re-imagined with an arresting use of the key material. Handmade in the UK, these delicate & striking earthenware lights can shine solo, in uniform groups or mixed clusters with the other shapes in the family. Half Spun offers a smaller, considered form as a pared-down version of the traditional shade shape, whilst keeping its simple uncomplicated shape. Seeking to capture & remain honest to the handmade process, the exterior of the shade is left unfinished, giving the light natural matt finish of exposed earthenware. On this matte exterior can be seen the moulding marks which have been left exposed at three equal points, capturing the manufacturing process. Interior colour white. With the light switched on, the piece comes to life. The raw, tactile & sculptural quality presented by the exterior of the shade contrasts the slick finish & accent of colour from the interior, the glazed surface reflecting the light to stunning effect. These compelling lights are hung using fabric cable, available in a soft silver or orange acting as the playful finishing touch. All Room-9 shades comes with a 2m cable assembly which includes an E 27 light fitting & ceiling rose cover.
