A gift-boxed Robert Welch Signature Home Chef Set of three kitchen knives, with stainless steel blades and comfortable handles. The set includes a versatile 12cm kitchen knife and a generously sized 18cm cook's knife with a curved edge for slicing through chunks of meat and making light work of vegetables. The santoku knife is a Japanese-style knife similar to a narrow cleaver and can be used for chopping, dicing and mincing, hence its name which means 'three virtues'. Scalloped indentations run along the side of the blade, reducing friction when in use, giving an effortless cutting action with finely cut food pushed away from the blade. Robert Welch Signature kitchen knives are precision tools, hand-honed and sharpened by master craftsmen to give you many years of optimum use. Robert Welch have worked with professional chefs to develop a range of knives that give you comfort in the hand and the optimum cutting action. Each knife has been individually constructed for its specific task in food preparation. The handles and blades are set at the best angle to minimise fatigue.
