Richardson Shefield The blades are made of chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel, with a hardness of 55 HRC, as measured on the Rockwell scale. The continuous alder in this collection provides the ultimate in control and balance. The triple-riveted plastic handles are permanently and seamlessly fitted. To prolong the lives of your knives, it is recommended to use only wooden or plastic chopping boards to help maintain the sharp edges of the blades. For sharpening the knives, using a knife sharpener, sharpening steel or whetstone is recommended.
