Description
The Tiger II, developed in 1943, also known unofficially as the King Tiger, was mass-produced by Henschel from 1944. The king tiger combined the demands for armor protection and firepower in an outstanding way. The front armor of up to 150 mm in thickness could not be penetrated by shells from the cannons of enemy battle tanks. The sides of the tank were armoured up to 80 mm thick. Despite several massive bombing attacks by the Allies on the Henschel plant in Kassel, a total of 492 Tiger IIs were delivered to the troops, including the prototypes and 50 vehicles equipped with a Porsche tower. However, not all of them reached the front lines. A large number of the Tiger II was lost due to drive problems resulting from the high overall weight or simply due to lack of fuel.. New tool shape with fine surface details. Rotatable turret with height-adjustable cannons. Injection moulded chain. Show tower hatches optionally open. Zimmerit (anti-mine coating) not included
