These bowls are useful in the kitchen for everyday meal prep, to holding sauces or dips - & they make lovely snack bowls too. This handmade Pouring / mixing Bowl has been thrown on the potters wheel. Approximate measurements: Width at widest part incl. lip 11.3cm Height 6cm This is a natural buff stoneware pot which has been glazed in a dolomite matt white & interior white glaze. Makers mark on outside (see close up). Aster flower imptints. The imprints on this piece are made with stamps, I make my own stamps using buttons & earings & a cork screw to hold them in place! The stamp is pressed into the clay, then once fired it is glazed, the imprints create a textural & decorative surface for the glaze to break over. Process Handmade pottery can seem expensive, the cost is due mostly to the time it creates to make one individual piece. Ceramic wares are thrown on the potters wheel, trimmed, left to dry then bisque fired, then glazed & glaze fired & finally bottoms are sanded!
