Made with a natural buff stoneware clay which has been glazed in two glazes - jade wood ash & white glaze, fluted design. Mug Approximate measurements: Width at top 9cm Height 8.8cm Capacity: approx. 450ml to the rim They are made on the potters wheel, with a natural buff stoneware clay. Makers mark visible (see close up photo's). Each piece is individually crafted & means that no two are exactly alike. The imprints on this piece are made with stamps, I make my own stamps using buttons & earings & a cork screw to hold them in place! The stamp is pressed into the clay, then once fired it is glazed, the imprints create a textural & decorative surface for the glaze to break over. Process Handmade pottery can seem expensive, the cost is due mostly to the time it creates to make one individual piece. Ceramic wares are thrown on the potters wheel, trimmed, left to dry then bisque fired, then glazed & glaze fired & finally bottoms are sanded! Mug Jade & White, Fluted Design
