Description
Caf au lait bowls, originally used in France to serve coffee or hot chocolate, but are the perfect size for cereal, soup or dessert. The only other thing you need with your croissant is a large cup of coffee in which to quickly dunk it. Tony Naylor, The Guardian. Approximate measurements: Height 8.8cm Width 14.3cm This handmade footed bowl has been thrown on the potters wheel. This is a natural buff stoneware pot which has been glazed in a Wood Ash Olive Glaze, with fluted design. Makers mark visible (see close up photo's). There are more Caf au lait bowls also availiable in my shop. Croissant not included! You can find images of my work & studio by following me on instagram @rebeccajwoods Thank you Extra Info - Design I like my pieces to look individual & handcrafted. This fluted design creates a textural & decorative surface for the glaze to break over. Process Handmade pottery can seem expensive, the cost is due mostly to the time it creates to make one individual piece. Ceramic wares are thrown on the potters wheel, flutted, trimmed, left to dry then bisque fired, then glazed & glaze fired & finally bottoms are sanded! Caf Au Lait Bowl, Wood Ash Olive Glaze
