It’s classic round case and slim unadorned bezel evokes the rooftop of the famous Florence Cathedral while the smooth dial, faceted indexes and edge-to-edge metallised sapphire crystal embody the sophistication of the city’s locals. As “Masters of Materials,” Rado utilises high quality sapphire crystal glass on this Rado ladies watch to protect the sleek black dial, a material renowned for its scratch resistance and easy legibility, beautifully transitioning from the edge of the case to the bracelet. Perfectly balancing the line between a luxury women’s watch and a piece of fine jewellery, the case of this Rado Florence timepiece is engineered from polished yellow gold PVD stainless steel and sits effortlessly on the wrist at only 6.3 millimetres in height and 28 millimetres in diameter. The case extends out into a matching yellow gold bracelet with fine links that conform comfortably around the wrist and fasten by a folding buckle. Thanks to a screw down case back, the case also promises a water resistance of 30 metres and protection of the quartz movement housed within. The Swiss made calibre powers the yellow gold central hands for hours, minutes and seconds and the box-shaped date aperture at 6 o’clock matched by studded hour markers.
