Ultraweave upper
The upper of the Puma evoSPEED Javelin 4 spikes has been created with a lightweight Ultraweave bootie construction that will encase each foot in streamlined comfort. This has been created with a PU skin and PWRTAPE in key areas to provide precisely the right support needed for your event whilst reducing in-shoe slippage. The lightweight structure allows air to flow through it thanks to perforations in the fabric, creating a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Inside the shoe, an internally bonded suede has been added for a soft next-to-skin feel. The microfibre and suede lining ensure comfort for barefoot usage. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system with a triple Velcro strap system, two straps on the midfoot and one on the ankle that helps to lock the midfoot to prevent excessive movement whilst the strap on the collar provides secure support during the final plant and throw phases.
Lightweight Foam MidsoleSuper responsive and lightweight the midsole reacts to each step providing cushioning on impact. This cushioning is important when planting the foot to throw as it reduces the amount of shock that is felt, resulting in better and longer-lasting performance. Resilient and feathery, the midsole spares your joints as you sprint down onto a hard, unforgiving track. Not only this but the spikes also feature a cemented strobel board and a Die-cut Eco Ortholite Sockliner, that increases the comfort of the spikes as you move.
Eleven Spike OutsoleCompleting the Javelin 4 Spikes is a full-length Pebax plate with a textured design to increase grip when on the track. The plate's design uses eleven changeable spike pin receptacles strategically placed for ultimate traction and grip. Not only does the plate provide you with plenty of grip but, due to its stiff nature it also provides maximum speed and ultimate propulsion on your approach. The spikes have been teamed with a 360-degree, wrapped-up Sharkskin outsole material that provides durability and traction, so you can be sure you have a strong footing when on the track.
