On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the first album the King of rock 'n' roll recorded for RCA, Legacy Recordings, the catalogue division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release the monumental 60 CD ELVIS PRESLEY - THE ALBUM COLLECTION on March 18th, 2016. ELVIS PRESLEY - THE ALBUM COLLECTION contains all albums the King released with RCA (the label he had been with throughout his whole career). The deluxe set contains the legendary Sun Sessions (recorded 1954 and 1955 at Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, before he signed the contract with RCA) and his first RCA session from January 10th, 1956. Additionally, his official releases, studio albums, soundtracks, and live recordings as well as compilations with unreleased songs, which have never been part of any LP are included. The opulent box set also contains a 300 page hard cover booklet with many illustrations and an insightful essay by Elvis expert John Jackson. Discographies and very interesting information about the sessions conclude the set. As a bonus, the set comes with 3 bonus CD's full of rare recordings. Every CD represents one decade (50s, 60s, 70s), which Elvis Presley influenced so significantly. In many cases the original recordings are included for the first time ever. They come just as they had been available in the shops back in the day.
