Protect your head In order to keep your head protected, POC uses a combination of EPS foam inner liner and tough polycarbonate shell outer. The EPS foam inner soaks up and dissipates harmful impact forces, giving you the confidence that in the event of a fall, you'll enjoy reliable safety. To the outside, the polycarbonate all-over shell not only brushes off overhanging bushes and branches during normal trail riding but in the event of a crash, it maintains the structural integrity of the helmet. Extended zones around the temples and back of the head also give you extra protection in high-risk areas. Ready to Roll While safety is its main focus, POC has also go those smaller just as important MTB-specific details right too. The peak is adjustable, allowing you to pull up goggles and sunglasses and store them easily under the peak. It's also designed to break away in a crash, reducing forces on your neck. For goggle wearers, POC has ensured no ventilation ports are covered by your goggle strap, maintaining excellent airflow at all times. And if that wasn’t enough, a RECCO® Reflector lets emergency services scan for you should you become lost on a backcountry mountain biking adventure. 360-degree Fit System In order to keep the Axion in place, you’ll find POC’s 360° fit system. This offers an easy-to-operate and precise fit, ensuring your Axion remains comfortable when riding and stays securely in place in the event of a crash. E-MTB ready The helmet is also certified to the Dutch NTA 8776 electric bicycle helmet standard, the only such standard in the world.
