Plato is a rigorous, minimalist, stackable chair, versatile and robust, suitable for indoor and outdoor environments. Sober with neoclassical inspiration, hence the name which refers to one of the pillars of ancient philosophy, the Plato chair displays a perfect balance between form and function, able to harmonise with all living spaces. Completely recyclable, the Plato chair has cast aluminium legs and a very thin slatted shell made of injected aluminium. The technology used creates a shell that is both thinner yet stronger than its plastic counterparts. With Plato, Japser Morrisson reduces the seat to its simplest expression: a hollow line without mass. Designer of the useful, Jasper Morrison follows a single requirement: that of improving our daily life by creating objects with a sustainable design.
