Description
On June 3rd 2016, Pink Floyd Records will begin with the re-release of the entire Pink Floyd back catalogue on vinyl for the first time in two decades. The last part of the first wave is made up of the double album “Ummagumma” which was originally published in 1969. A lot of care has been put into the re-production of the original casings. The first wave of albums mastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman will be pressed onto 180 g vinyls for best sound quality. Pink Floyd consists of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Rick Wright and Nick Mason and drew its first attention with their hit single “Arnold Layne” back in 1967. When Syd Barrett quit the band, PINK FLOYD incorporated David Gilmour and recorded some of the most innovative and style-defining albums of their time. It all culminated in the release of one of the best-selling albums of all times in 1973, “Dark Side Of The Moon”. Countless international top albums followed, among others “The Wall”, “Animals”, “Wish You Were Here - The Final Cut” and their grand finale in 2014, “The Endless River”.
