Description
Ping i525 Golf irons - Steel Ping have designed the i525 irons to provide golfers with greater distance on their shots, while still having the optimal amount of control and forgiveness.  The face of the irons has an additional four grooves that have been added, thanks to a groove pattern that has been milled with precision to allow for the space to be created. By having these extra grooves the irons provide greater control and consistency by reducing the knuckleballs that are hit that run too far when they land on the green, and also preserving the spin on long iron shots.  The accuracy of the irons has also been improved thanks to additional weighting that has been added when designing these clubs. Shaft tip weights and a tungsten toe have been used to increase the perimeter weighting that is provided to maintain ball speed and accuracy even on mishits.  To make sure that golfers have enough power and distance on their shots, Ping has created a new ballistic face that has been designed to increase speed and distance of the ball thanks to the forged, maraging steel face that has been used.  Because maraging steel offers incredible strength with its variable thickness design, the face has been able to be made thinner and paired with a polymer insert that provides a better feel and sound.  A 17-4 stainless steel body has been used for the i525’s as it allows for an increase in the amount of flexing the face is able to withstand, increasing the speed of shots and increasing the launch and height that shots can reach consistently.  All this is used in a compact, player-style design that works with the increased perimeter weight to increase the forgiveness of these clubs, while also delivering long, towering shots across the golf course. And then a hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish has been applied to make sure water is pushed away from the face so that players can experience consistency on all their shots no matter the conditions they are playing in. These irons come with a Steel shaft, but if you would like to look at the Graphite shaft please click here.  Features and benefits: Players Distance  A new ballistic face design that increases speed, distance and control combines with a targeted polymer insert to provide better feel and sound. All packaged in a compact, players-style design perimeter weighted to elevate forgiveness and deliver long, towering shots. Forged, Maraging Steel Face The strength of the variable-thickness, maraging steel allows for a thinner, more dynamic face structure with an internal sole undercut in the 17-4 stainless steel body to increase flexing to launch shots faster and higher with predictability. Improved Feel, Sound Targeted placement and disbursement of an EVA polymer in precisely controlled amounts in every iron achieves a pleasing impact sound and feel while allowing for maximum face deflection. The hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish repels water for consistency from all conditions. Micromax Grooves A precision-milled groove pattern allows for tighter spacing and a geometry that results in an average of four extra grooves to reduce fliers in the short irons and preserve spin in the long irons for greater control and consistency. Extreme Weighting Tungsten toe and shaft tip weights combine with a tiered, dynamic face structure to expand the perimeter weighting while preserving ball speed through greater face deflection for added distance and improved accuracy.
