Description

This lovely, small pine table would make a perfect desk or dressing table where space is limited. It has lots of charm & age with a true country cottage look, & a rich colour & tone to the wood. Rustic yet elegant, it stands on finely turned legs & has a small upstand & drawer. I chose to paint just the central section as the grain & markings on the legs & top were too nice to hide! I used Linen chalkpaint, waxed & sealed with a lightly distressed finish. The top I sanded & treated & with three coats of Danish Oil to preserve & enrich the wood & create a water-resistant surface. It has lots of character gained over the years. The drawer I have lined with oil cloth which can be removed if preferred. Despite its age the table is very sturdy & ready for a new home. I have paired it with a pretty part-painted chair which is listed for sale separately. The table measures 32 inches wide, 19 deep & stands 30 inches high with an additional 3 inches to the top of the upstand.
