Description
Created in 1911 as an elegant cologne with it originally being intended for Sir Percy Croft of the Croft port dynasty and named after the port producing region in Portugal the Douro Valley. The fragrance is stylish and mellow delight which begins with sharp green limes and soapy bergamot, blending with garden fresh geranium and lily at the heart. Then the base notes of musk, oakmoss and sandalwood start to assert themselves, imparting a leather quality. Underpinned with labdanum, a resin that is bitter and as such imparts a unique leathery note. Douro Eau de Portugal is a deep and intensely aromatic cologne. Top Notes: Geranium, Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Bergamot, Lavender And Basil Middle Notes: Neroli And Muguet Base Notes: Labdanum, Oakmoss, Musk And Sandalwood
