The Trek Powerfly 5 features a top of the range Bosch e-MTB drive system with durable mountain bike components that can stand up to the trail. The new, better-than-ever Bosch motor is smaller, lighter and more efficient. It feels more natural while you’re pedalling, and has less drag when you’re not. The motor is controlled by the Purion controller which has Walk Assist and a smart eMTB mode that automatically delivers the right amount of power based on the terrain. The Powerfly 5 has an Alpha Platinum Aluminium Frame which maintains a sleek look through Treks user-friendly Removable Integrated Battery (RIB) system Control Freak internal routing. Alpha Platinium Aluminium is Trek's premium lightweight aluminium that is continuously cold extruded and butted at multiple points, and hydroformed into sophisticated tube shapes for maximum strength but minimum weight.
