Easily recognizable by its very large dorsal spines, it is assumed that it possessed a veil fulfilling the function of thermal regulator. The Spinosaurus, which lived in the Cretaceous peiod was both carnivorous and piscivorous. The skull of Spinosaurus is shaped like crocodiles.
