The famous “Pantop” lamp was created in 1980 by famous Danish architect and designer Verner Panton (1926-1998). It stands out with its expressive lampshade in the shape of a widely flared bell. A design classic, “Pantop” has certainly stood the test of time. Pantop gets a make-over with this cordless version. Smaller and lighter, this portable lamp is a real nomad: wireless and rechargeable, it can be taken anywhere in the house. It’s an exact replica, with reduced dimensions, of its big sister. Entirely made of polycarbonate and equipped with an economical, efficient LED light source, the new Pantop Portable uses modern materials and technologies. Something Panton himself has always looked for. Equipped with a battery and micro-USB charger, this cordless lamp has a 7-hour battery life. The brushed metal touch dimmer located above the lampshade adjusts the brightness (3 levels). Pantop Portable fits in everywhere: on a table, a desk, a shelf, a console or on a bedside table. It can also be used on a balcony or in a garden in dry weather. The Panton Portable lamp comes in a superb palette of colours, each carefully selected, to bring its own personality and mood to the collection. Verner Panton: Colours have a meaning and function. Colours influence our lives, our moods, our humour and our ability to work. Colours can induce optimism and help create an atmosphere. Verner Panton is one of the most famous designers of the last century. He excelled in the modern, futuristic style. His creations really left their mark on the 1960s. Today, his most famous creations are still in production and on display in the most prestigious museums. Recognised by his peers, Verner Panton has received numerous awards, including the International Design Award (three times in 1963, 1981 and 1986), the “Deutsche Auswahl” (five times between 1981 and 1984), Denmark’s Dansk Designgråd Årspris in 1991, and the Norwegian Design Prize in 1992. PLEASE NOTE: This lamp is intended for indoor use only. It can be used occasionally outside in dry weather but should be kept and stored indoors.
