Durable Ripstop Upper
Providing your feet with an ultimate level of comfort and breathability, the shoes have a breathable, durable Ripstop upper. The upper features a featherlight yet durable ripstop fabric that combines protection with breathability and just the right amount of stretch. Providing support, On has added taping that wraps the foot, adding hold so you can let go on race day. The materials have strategically placed perforations that provide you with a constant level of airflow, providing you with a cool, comfortable sensation. Preventing an uncomfortable build-up of sweat and moisture, the uppers are moisture-wicking, helping to keep you dry throughout. Additionally, the shoes have a sock-like construction, further providing a precise fit and optimum midfoot support. A perforated inner layer also maximises the airflow, further helping to keep your feet cool and feeling fresh. The shoes have an elasticated midfoot strap to provide your feet with extra support working with the elasticated tongue, which holds the laces in place and helps to prevent in-shoe slipping, keeping your foot comfortable.
Advanced Midsole and OutsoleThe Cloud 5 features CloudTec cushioning in ultralight Zero-Gravity foam which adapts to every runner thanks to Cloud elements that react to your unique movements and deliver soft landings alongside a powerful take-off. This cushioning technology is proven to reduce muscle fatigue so that you can run faster for longer. Making every step effortless, the innovative CloudTec technology is constructed On's Zero-Gravity foam construction to deliver comfort, support and a more efficient run by absorbing impact, reducing strain and adapting to your running style so you feel like you are running on clouds. Reacting according to your unique movements, CloudTec compresses horizontally and vertically to cushion just where it should.
Working alongside this, the shoes have a TPU Speedboard plate to increase rolling sensations, allowing a more natural stride. The plate will provide you with propulsion and enhance explosive take-offs during every stride, by bending and flexing with your run to propel you forward, faster assisting you when hitting the trail. The outsole includes high-abrasion rubber pods to provide you with a strong grip on the road no matter the weather conditions. To keep you stable and provide grip on varying terrain, the shoes utilise a newly updated MissionGrip outsole, which features squared lugs in the heel and forefoot, as well as, multi-angled lugs in the shank and toe area.
