Culture Vulture Ombre Orenburg Scarf
Description
This delicately patterned scarf is expertly handcrafted in Russia to a traditional design with graduated ombrestyle colouring in the hues of sea and sky. Knitted using a luxurious mix of warm wool from Orenburg goats, bred to survive in the Urals, and silk, the technique used to create this scarf dates back to an 18thcentury textile tradition. Known as "Orenburgskyi Platok", such intricate scarves and shawls are fine enough to pass through a small wedding ring. As each scarf is individually knitted, shades and sizes may vary slightly due to the unique nature of the process.
