Dome shaped pendant Sonora in black steel In designing this lighting object, the creator Vico Magistretti was inspired by the effect of geometric shapes and simplicity. He has achieved this above all by designing the shade, which is a splendid sight thanks to its dome shape and its considerable size. The shade is made of black painted steel, so that the light is emitted directly downwards from the large opening of the shade, for example to illuminate a table surface ideally. Designer Vico Magistretti created the Sonora lamp in 1976 for the Italian premium manufacturer Oluce. To this day, the lamp has lost none of its charm, making it one of the most popular lighting fixtures of the lamp manufacturer.
