Magis Bench with backrest Grey Metal. Dimensions: L 125 x Depth 57 x H 81 - Seat: H 45 x L 115 x Depth 45 cm - Back: Width 16 cm. To create their Officina collection, the famous Bouroullec brothers used one of the oldest ironworking techniques: wrought iron. Their goal is to give a contemporary visual language to wrought iron furniture which is somewhat outdated. The raw appearance of wrought iron is deliberately preserved. The uneven, imperfect surface gives these items of furniture a special vibration, an artisanal flavour. By reflecting all the random marks left by the tools used to make it, these pieces add a new twist to the industrial style. The Officina bench combines an inviting seat made of beech plywooden covered with a beautiful Kvadrat fabric, with a wrought iron structure with clean, refined lines. The Kvadrat fabric covering is 100% wool, is soft to the touch and brings real comfort and refinement to the whole. With its Ecolabel and Greenguard Gold label, this bench is extremely low in polluting emissions, for an interior that’s both healthy and designer! The Officina collection reflects the work of the Bouroullec brothers. For them, the role of designing is to reveal a knowledge of the material and the techniques applied: it awakens deeply buried emotions linked to the details on the object and its crafting, touching on the universal.
