And coming in at a svelte 300 grams, it's not a helmet that will weigh you down either. The core of the helmet is a shock-absorbing EPS foam. Upon impact, this core dissipates damaging forces that would otherwise cause you to suffer head injuries. To the outside of the EPS foam is a lightweight polycarbonate shell. This adds structural support to the protective core and ensures the ARO5 is durable enough to meet the demands of regular use. This protection is then bolstered by the MIPS® Brain Protection system.
