Houston pendant luminaire with wide, perforated metal shade The wide shade of the Houston pendant lamp tapers upwards like the top of an onion dome and is decorated all around with a fine perforated pattern: while the fine perforation of the shade is hardly noticeable when unlit, the perforated pattern becomes effectively apparent when the light is switched on and sets the entire shade in scene, but the main part of the light shines downwards through the wide opening and illuminates the table surface below.
