Launched in 2006 Nina, is a floral fruity fragrance for women, from Nina Ricci. The fragrance was created by the team of the team of Olivier Cresp, Jacques Cavallier and Christian Dussoulier, all three of whom are Master Perfumers, who worked together to replace the original Nina from 1987. The fragrance has top notes of Amalfi Lemon and Lime; middle notes of Granny Smith Apple, Praline, Peony and Datura; and base notes of Apple Tree, Musk and Virginia Cedar. The fragrance is really built around the Apple note, which is fresh, crisp, sweet and slightly tart. The sweet qualities of the apple are amplified by the sweetness of the Praline making this very sweet, yet deliciously edible. As well as the candied apple like accord of the Praline and Apple, the fragrance also has some under-lying floral notes from the Peony and Datura notes. Due to the Fruitiness and the fresh nature of the fragrance, it is very much a Spring and Summer fragrance.
