Nike has finally unveiled its eco-friendly 'Space Hippie' collection - the next big step in the brand's journey toward zero carbon and zero waste. At least 25% of this Space Hippie 04 weighs in at pure trash. Across the top, its 'Space Waste Yarn' uppers are made from around 85% recycled content, including plastic bottles, tees and factory floor scraps. On the underside, the eco theme continues with the brand's all-new 'Crater Foam' midsoles which use a mix of standard Nike foams, 15% NikeGrind rubber and a touch of recycled ZoomX foam for added cushioning. Oh, as a nice finishing touch, Nike is ditching the usual double box and housing the Space Hippies in a single shoebox that's built from recycled materials and stamped with eco-friendly, plant-based ink.
