The Jaden Smith x New Balance Vision Racer “Natural” is an April 2021 collaboration between the music artist and New Balance on the contemporary sneaker. Elements of two classic New Balance models, the 1700 and X-Racer, are combined into one to form the Vision Racer. A grey, fleece-like construction consisting of a mixture of SPINNEX fiber, recycled polyester, and Spandex. Speckled detailing on the white synthetic overlays and block-like midsole break up the predominantly neutral look. An embroidered “N” appears on either side and “NB” branding can be found on the back of the shoe. Underfoot, a chunky, segmented rubber midsole cuts a decidedly modern vibe. This Jaden Smith-designed sneaker is one of several vegan-friendly footwear styles created by the philanthropist for New Balance. Release date: April 22, 2021
