A genius architect and designer, Le Corbusier designed the Sanskar Kendra Museum, a museum in the Indian city of Ahmedabad, between 1951 and 1957. This spiral-shaped construction illustrates the architectural principles of the French master. Le Corbusier even designed the lamps in the museum. In 1954, he created the Projecteur which he had installed in the building to optimise the lighting. Reissued by Nemo, the Projecteur lamp is now available as a pendant. This lamp is a symbol of 1950s modernism. Inspired by the industrial lighting of the time, it consists of a diffuser in the shape of a painted aluminium projector. The internal diffuser is made of opaline glass.
